Yesterday...

You may have noticed that my bulletin wasn’t an early one...

See, I

had to do that Yearly responsibility of taking one of our children
to the doctor for their shots to be able to enter 9th

grade.....

Well, I took our 9 year old and our 14 year old and we went to the
Doctor for just that..

And after we

were done, as we were pulling out of our parking place
and heading for the corner...our daughter said these words, "oh, isn’t

that
sad...." I responded with, "what sweetie?"

She said, "there is a lady in the alley with two little girls and a baby

in a
stroller, and she is picking garbage out of the dumpster."

Sure, gas prices are high....

Home foreclosures

are out of control.

Seems like everything is gloom and doom lately...

But...

I - without any thought - backed up the car,

pulled into the end of the alley,
and got out....

I ran up to the sweet little 4’ 9" little woman and said (with hand out

reached)
"God Bless You"...and gave her a five dollar bill..She looked at me with such an
amazing glow in her eyes and

said, "Gracias!! Gracias!! "

As, I turned away I saw her lift her face to the sky and she proceeded to walk
away from

the dumpster...she was making the gesture of the sign of the cross to her body...

I know in my heart that "This was the Greatest

Day of my life"

I watched her walk away and then the children and I waved to her as she smiled
and headed for the

grocery store just across the parking lot!!
